Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Yamato Studios LLC ("SkipVid", "we") for the SkipVid iPhone app. By using SkipVid you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1. YouTube

SkipVid uses YouTube API Services. By using SkipVid you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's Privacy Policy applies to data Google processes. SkipVid is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. Videos, titles, thumbnails and channel information shown in SkipVid come from YouTube; the summaries do not.

2. Age

You must be at least 18 years old to use SkipVid.

3. AI-generated summaries

Summaries are produced automatically by an AI model from public videos. They may be incomplete or wrong, and they are not a substitute for the video itself. Every slide links to the video so you can check the source. Summaries are provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

4. Free tier and SkipVid Pro

Without a subscription you can read up to 5 videos a day at the Short and Medium lengths. SkipVid Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, billed through your Apple ID, that removes the daily limit and adds the Long and Extra Long lengths. Prices, the length of any free trial and the renewal price are shown before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of a free trial, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your iPhone's Settings under Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Fair use. "Unlimited" means you can read as many videos as a person reasonably would. To protect the service from automated or abusive use, Pro is subject to a fair-use limit of 300 new summaries per day. Reaching it is rare in normal use; if it happens, reading resumes the next day.

5. Your account

You can use SkipVid without an account. If you create one, keep your sign-in credentials safe and tell us if you think someone else is using it. You can delete your account at any time from the You tab; deletion is permanent.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use SkipVid to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, to access it with automated tools, or to interfere with the service or other users. Do not attempt to download, copy or redistribute videos through SkipVid; SkipVid does not provide that capability.

7. Copyright

If you believe content shown in SkipVid infringes your copyright, email supersonicbizz@gmail.com with the video link, a description of the work, your contact details and a statement that you own the rights or act for the owner. We will remove the summary in question.

8. Availability and changes

SkipVid depends on YouTube and on third-party AI services and may change, be interrupted or end. We may update the app and these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

9. Disclaimer and liability

SkipVid is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
